Thoughts...

Day two of rain and grey skies. I am at work until 1:30 pm and then I am off to K'ville to look at a catering facility. Yesterday was good - really - it did not feel like it at moments. However, the Universe, the Great Spirit, God - one, all three, all combined - answered a prayer and even though it was not exactly what I wanted - it was a solution. So, I say "Thanks" for a good day.

I hope that everyone has a place to get out of the rain and stay warm. I hope that everyone gets to eat at least one meal today. I hope that at some point - everyone feels loved at some point today. This is my thought and prayer for today.

Christmas Day

Here's wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas.

It is hard to believe that another year has passed. There have been many events of different shapes and sizes that have happened this past year. Some of the events were good and so were not so good. However, I did survive them all and lived to write this entry.

I wish for all of you who may wonder across this blog a Happy New Year for 2009.

Until next time,

Christmas is Coming

OK, so my attempts to keep my blog current have failed. I would make it a new years resolution - however - I know it will not help so why set myself up for failure.

The past few weeks have been amazing (in so many different ways). Thanksgiving was very calm and enjoyable this year. Then vacation, two days in Ft. Lauderdale and then a week long cruise. The weather could have been better. The trip was still a success in my opinion. I needed rest and for the most part that is what I got. The ship was amazing. There was way too much food available - so - yes - I ate way too much.

Then back home to face oral surgery. This is not fun - I still have at least two more rounds to go.

Today and Tomorrow at work and then I am off for a week for Christmas. Christmas will be quite small this year and hopefully quiet for the most part. I am looking forward to having some time at home to just chill and relax and maybe enjoy the true spirit of Christmas.

I guess that is it for now. I will try to get a pic or two of the trip posted before the end of the year.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year.

A current post

It has been some time since my last post. I keep telling myself that I will do better about putting my thoughts out there for others to read. However, once I get home I tend to stay away from the computer as much as possible. Especially if the weather is nice, I would prefer to be outside than attached to the computer.

I was up early this morning (4:30am), got hot, could not sleep. Watch a couple of shows that I had recorded, fed the cat at 6:00 (his internal clock lets him know that it is feeding time - therefore he lets everyone else know it is feeding time). Tried to go back to sleep - however - up now. Did some things on facebook, checked email and then decided to add a new post here.

Planned to attend the air show in WS today - however - rain will keep that from happening. Might do lunch with some friends later. It is nice watching the rain - even thought it sort of prevents going outside - the rain is nice - we need it and all the plants really need it. Everything looks so happy outside right now - there is a slight breeze blow and it makes the plants look as if they are dancing in the rain. It is very calming to watch the rain, know how much good the cool water is doing.

Well, it is about time for me to step away from the computer again and do some other things - I might fix my breakfast and go sit on the patio - now - that sounds like a nice way to start my day.

Until next time...

Sunday Social at Bordeaux

The social at Bordeaux yesterday was great. We had several new neighbors attend and several familiar faces show up for another gather. Bordeaux is a great neighborhood with lost of awesome people.

Will still have some issues with our yard (mainly the sod - or non-existence of sod). We are still waiting to see what the builder will do about this issue. We have been told several times before that the grass/sod would be taken care of to our satisfaction - however - nothing has been done to date. We sent in a "NEW" warranty request form on Friday - no we just have to wait until we hear back from them as to what they will be doing or not doing. We did request a face to face meeting with someone if our request is denied.

We are hoping for the best. I will let you know what happens next...
